Doreen Noella Scott

Doreen Noella Scott  Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24th, at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family. Doreen was a devoted mother to Ronald Pilon (Cila), Kimberly Pilon (Robin), Darin Pilon (Helen), and Gregory Pilon (Frances). She was a proud grandmother to Alexandre Bergeron, Jason Bergeron, Carly Bergeron, Logan Pilon, and Charlotte Pilon. She was predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth Scott (Grant), Gordon Scott (Irene), and Bruce Scott (Lynn). She is survived by her brother Ronald Scott (Anne-Marie), and sisters Beverly Jodoin (Richard), Esther McDonald (Wayne), and Wendy Volpato (Wally). Doreen will also be deeply missed by many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, friends — and her lifelong friend, cousin, and childhood neighbor, Eleanor O’Hara (Jack). Affectionately known as Mom ,Grandmother, Doreen, or Auntie Doo, she spent her life between Montreal and Rawdon — the place she first came to during the war and returned to with peace in her final days. Alongside Ron Pilon, she lovingly raised their four children, creating a life rich with cherished memories and shared adventures. Her professional life allowed her to continue her passion for travel, while her personal life was defined by a light-hearted spirit, honesty, and a sense of humor that stayed with her to the very end. Doreen will be remembered for her warmth, her wit, and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength, and family. A funeral service will be held from Christ Anglican church on Saturday June 7th at 1 p.m., (next door to the funeral home).  Doreen's ashes will be buried along side her mother and father . Visitations will take place at the funeral home, 3555 Metcalfe, Rawdon starting at 11:30 a.m. A reception will take place after the service.
