Kathleen Ann (Kay) Claffey

Kathleen Ann (Kay) Claffey 1945 - 2025  Peacefully, on January 19th 2025, Kay passed away at the Palliative Care Center - CHSLD du Piedmont, after a long battle with major health problems.  Well surrounded by a loving family, she will be greatly missed by her husband André, her children Tamara (Nicolas), Yvonne (Étienne) and Jacob (Marie-Aimée), her grandchildren Samuel, Rafaël, Elena-Kay, Sarah, Marc, Eliott as well as to many extended family members and friends.  Originally from Michigan, she spent her early years in Grand Rapids. After meeting her husband, André Bergeron, she moved to Canada and raised her children in Rawdon.  She began her career in nursing, but later continued her studies at UQTR to obtain a Bachelor's degree in English Teaching. She enjoyed her new vocation as a teacher immensely and was much loved by her students.  She enjoyed gardening, organizing fun social activities and being a member of the Rawdon Ballet for many years. She loved to dance!  Kay was a strong woman even at the end of her life, always fighting for one more day to enjoy with her family.  The burial will held on Tuesday January 21th, 2025 at 12 noon at the Rawdon Oecumenic Cemetery, 3200 Chemin Forest, Rawdon, QC J0K 1S0.  Afterwards the family will receive condolences from 1 pm to 5 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Multiethnic Center, 3588 rue Metcalfe, Rawdon, J0K 1S0.
